The Client: A leading global financial services firm is looking for a 5-10 PQE lead employment lawyer to join their team. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will take on a broad in-house employment role covering a full suite of contentious and non-contentious matters. You will get the opportunity to enjoy varied and challenging work supporting senior stakeholders on related matters across all of the business in the EMEA region on sophisticated employment matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing expert legal advice on employment law matters.
- Key focus on non-contentious and contentious employment law related matters across EMEA.
- Supporting with contractual matters.
- Work closely with their People Operations teams to develop and improve employment processes and procedures.
- Opportunities to serve as a legal advisor on a wide variety of business initiatives and transactions across the region both inside and outside the employment law area, with a strong focus on London/EMEA.
- Working in multidisciplinary teams across various departments.
- Managing and liaising with external counsel when required.
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will be a 5-10 PQE employment lawyer, preferably with experience in a law firm, or in-house.
- Prior experience advising on non-contentious and contentious matters would be advantageous for the role.
- Financial services experience is not a prerequisite, all backgrounds welcome.
- Collaborative, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
*Candidates outside of this PQE range with the prerequisite experience would be considered for this role.
