A private Investment company is looking to appoint a Residential Property Lawyer in London on a 6-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative organisation where you can make a valuable contribution to the successful functioning of the legal team.

Duties will include:

  • Providing legal advice to the business on day-to-day legal matters and queries that arise out of the residential letting business, landlord related asset management (across a diverse range of asset classes) and on regulation and compliance in the property management side of the business.
  • Further support on high value projects/transactions in respect of financing, development of land and on new acquisition/disposal projects.
  • General reviews of leases/planning.
  • Reviewing supporting documents going from grantees to external legal reviewers.
  • Internal review of refurbishments/agreements.
  • Pre- and post-approval support on processing/follow-ups on Local Authority agreement documentation.

The role will suit a UK (or commonwealth) qualified lawyer with at least 3-year PQE (though we’ll consider any relevant experience). You will have experience of commercial property legal work and/or residential property transactions, either from practising in a law firm or an inhouse legal function.

The role will provide an excellent opportunity to work across a diverse workload in a highly entrepreneurial and collaborative environment. Excellent time management skills and experience working in a busy environment are essential. You must be able to demonstrate a pragmatic solutions-based approach and strong relationship building skills combined with excellent communication skills.
