A financial services organisation is looking to hire an experienced Part-Time Legal Counsel (2-3 days per week) to support the legal, transactional, and operational needs of their growing real estate investment platform. This is a broad, hands-on role covering the full lifecycle of real estate transactions, fund structures, and corporate matters. You will work closely with senior leadership on deals, strategic initiatives, and day-to-day legal requirements.
This role would suit an experienced lawyer seeking a flexible, part-time in-house role within a lean, fast-paced environment.
Key duties will include:- Providing day-to-day legal support across fund structuring, corporate transactions, financing, commercial contracts, employment matters, and dispute resolution.
- Identifying, assessing, and managing legal risks across the business.
- Advising internal teams on legal aspects of projects and operations.
- Instructing and managing external law firms, negotiating fee structures, and coordinating legal workstreams.
- Providing company secretarial support, assisting with governance processes, and overseeing AML/KYC and regulatory requirements.
This role would suit a Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with at least 5 years PQE (flexible depending on experience). Experience in funds and/or real estate with strong exposure to property, development, or investment transactions is essential. You will have excellent drafting, negotiation, and organisational skills and a commercial mindset.
