A leading consumer brands business is seeking a commercially minded Legal Counsel to join its UK Legal team on a 12-month fixed-term contract commencing in September. This is a broad, business-facing role offering exposure to commercial contracts, marketing, advertising, consumer law, intellectual property, data protection and strategic business projects. Join a well-established legal team within a fast-paced, consumer-facing business. · Provide pragmatic legal advice across a broad range of commercial matters. · Support business growth, strategic projects, compliance initiatives and legal training. · Work in a collaborative and supportive legal team environment with high-profile stakeholder exposure. Draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including technology, procurement, marketing and supply chain contracts. · Provide legal support on advertising, marketing and promotional campaigns. · Advise on intellectual property, brand protection and general commercial matters. · Support the business on data protection and privacy issues. · Assist with legal training, compliance initiatives and business projects. Strong commercial contracts experience gained in private practice and/or in-house. · Previous experience in retail, FMCG, consumer products, technology or procurement-related matters would be advantageous. 12-month fixed-term contract with an immediate September start. ~ Hybrid working arrangement – 3 days per week in the office. ~ Broad commercial remit, high-level stakeholder exposure and the opportunity to make an impact from day one.
