An international law firm based in London is looking for a commercial lawyer within their in-house legal team on a 12-month FTC. The role involves advising on complex commercial and regulatory matters, managing legal risk and contributing to compliance and risk management strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Legal Advice: Provide guidance on commercial contracts, policy writing, regulatory issues and strategic matters
- Compliance: Support compliance frameworks, handle regulatory obligations, assist with data protection (including GDPR), DPIA reviews, DSAR’s and respond to regulatory inquiries
- Risk Management: Develop and implement risk policies, advise on liability and risk exposure
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including HR and senior leadership, on legal and compliance matters
- Training & Development: Deliver training on risk and compliance to internal teams
Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer with 4+ years PQE
- Experience in commercial transactions, ideally in-house within a law or professional services firm
- Strong communication skills, ability to influence and build relationships
- Knowledge of UK regulatory regime for law firms; familiarity with other jurisdictions is a plus
