A Magic Circle law firm with a top-tier corporate practice is seeking to hire an Infrastructure & Energy Associate (3β5 PQE) as part of strategic growth within its London projects and corporate transactional team.
You will join a globally recognised platform known for:
- Advising blue-chip corporates, sponsors and investors on landmark energy and infrastructure transactions
- Acting on market-leading M&A, joint ventures and strategic investments in the energy, renewables and utilities sectors
- Supporting clients on complex project structures, development frameworks and commercial contracts
- Advising on regulatory considerations and risk allocation across large-scale, cross-border projects
- Seamless collaboration with specialist colleagues across finance, regulatory, disputes and global offices
This is a team operating at the heart of the global energy transition and infrastructure investment boom, where technical excellence and commercial judgement are essential.
The Role
You will work across a broad range of sophisticated transactions, including:
- Corporate M&A and joint ventures in the energy and infrastructure sectors
- Strategic investments and disposals for leading sponsors and sovereign wealth funds
- Structuring and negotiating project development agreements and shareholder frameworks
- Coordinating multi-jurisdictional teams to deliver complex cross-border deals
- Advising on governance and risk issues for high-value, business-critical transactions
You will be working closely with market-leading partners and senior associates, gaining exposure to headline deals, with top-quality training and early responsibility.
About You
The team is seeking candidates who:
- Are UK-qualified (or common law qualified) with 3β5 PQE in corporate M&A or projects
- Have trained and qualified at a City, Magic Circle or leading international firm
- Bring strong transactional and negotiation skills, combined with excellent drafting ability
- Are commercially minded and able to operate in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment
- Have an interest in infrastructure, energy and renewables sectors
Candidates with prior cross-border deal experience or exposure to regulated industries are particularly encouraged to apply.
