An opportunity has arisen for an Associate to join a dynamic commercial team specialising in intellectual property, technology and regulatory matters. The role sits within a growing practice advising innovative and market-leading clients across the retail, sports and technology sectors. While rooted in IP and technology, the team’s work extends well beyond traditional “soft IP” into complex commercial litigation and regulatory issues.
- Intellectual property disputes, particularly trade mark and brand-related litigation
- Technology disputes, including issues arising from data use, supply of technology, and data breach incidents
- Commercial litigation, including contractual and shareholder disputes for retail and technology clients
- Regulatory advisory and disputes, particularly within consumer-facing sectors
- Product-related issues and associated risk management
- Involvement in complex, multi-jurisdictional litigation and arbitration, including ongoing matters relating to joint ventures
- Brand protection, ownership and licensing
- Emerging regulatory developments impacting retail, sports and technology businesses
Delivering clear, pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice. Working closely with clients on day-to-day issues and strategic projects. Candidates may currently be in a commercial or commercial litigation team but should be able to demonstrate broad exposure to IP, technology, regulatory and commercial disputes. Experience advising clients in retail, sports or technology sectors (preferred). Confident working across multiple legal disciplines in a fast-paced environment.
This is a growing practice and this hire will be the first dedicated associate in the team. The team has a strong track record of developing lawyers through to partnership, offering a combination of hands-on experience and structured training, alongside clear progression opportunities.
