Project Finance Associate (2–5PQE) – Leading International Law Firm – Central London

Our client, a global law firm with a renowned Projects, Energy and Infrastructure practice, is seeking a talented Project Finance Associate (2–5PQE) to join its high-performing London team.

This is an outstanding opportunity to advise on high-profile, complex transactions for major sponsors, lenders, and governments across the energy, infrastructure, and natural resources sectors.

About the Firm

Our client is widely recognised as a market leader in project finance and development. The London office is a key hub for the firm’s international platform, advising on innovative projects that drive the energy transition—including renewables, hydrogen, green fuels, and carbon capture—as well as power generation, social infrastructure, transport, telecommunications, mining, and oil & gas.

The team is known for its integrated approach, combining expertise in project development, construction, deal structuring, bankability, equity strategy, debt financing, and regulatory compliance.

The Role

You will gain exposure to a diverse range of matters, including:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and amending project finance documentation
  • Advising on project development, acquisition, and financing transactions
  • Providing strategic guidance to clients with strong market awareness
  • Managing client expectations, deadlines, and project delivery
  • Collaborating across teams and jurisdictions on cross-border mandates
  • Leading and supervising junior team members
  • Supporting business development initiatives and building client relationships
  • Developing and sharing sector knowledge internally and externally

What They’re Looking For

  • 2–5PQE, qualified in England & Wales
  • Experience in project finance and/or infrastructure acquisition work
  • Strong technical knowledge across projects, energy, and infrastructure
  • Excellent drafting, communication, and organisational skills
  • Commercial acumen and entrepreneurial drive
  • Resilient self-starter with intellectual curiosity and sound judgement
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset and leadership potential
