The Opportunity
As Director of Employment & HR Operations, you’ll sit at the intersection of Legal, People, and Leadership, owning employment strategy across the UK, EMEA and beyond. You’ll play a critical role in supporting rapid international growth, organisational change, and evolving people strategy - all within a high‑performance, fast‑moving tech environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Acting as the senior employment law expert for the business, advising leaders and HR on a wide range of complex labour and employment matters
- Partnering closely with the People leadership team to support growth, transformation, and reorganisation across multiple jurisdictions
- Monitoring and interpreting employment law developments globally and proactively advising on risk and compliance
- Supporting employment contracts, escalations, and employment-related claims
- Coordinating and managing external counsel across regions, ensuring pragmatic and cost‑effective advice
- Supporting compensation and equity programmes from an employment law perspective
- Enabling and educating People teams on key employment law principles and best practice
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified lawyer with at least 10+ years’ PQE, gained across both private practice and in‑house
- In-house experience in a high growth / scaling environment where you set up processes and frameworks
- Strong background in international employment law, particularly across Europe
- Experience supporting transformation, reorganisation, and change in a multinational environment
- Proven ability to operate as a strategic advisor in a fast‑growth or newly formed organisation
- Confident communicator with a collaborative, partnership‑led approach
- Strong commercial judgment and comfort navigating risk‑based decision‑making
- Agile mindset with the ability to adapt quickly in an evolving business
