Our client, a highly ranked international law firm in the City is seeking a Leveraged Finance Associate to join its Banking & Finance team on an initial 3-month fixed‑term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is seeking exposure to market‑leading, cross‑border finance work within a respected global platform.
The Role
You’ll work closely with partners and senior lawyers on a broad range of leveraged finance transactions, advising private equity sponsors, investment banks, direct lenders, and corporate borrowers. The team handles complex, multi‑jurisdictional matters and is highly regarded for the quality of its work:
- Leveraged & acquisition finance
- Refinancings and recapitalisations
- Syndicated lending structures
- Acting on both sponsor‑side and lender‑side mandates
- Supporting multi‑jurisdictional matters across the firm's global network
About You:
- Qualified Solicitor in a common law jurisdiction with ideally upwards of 5+ PQE
- Strong leveraged finance experience from a reputable City or international firm
- Confident drafting and negotiating loan and security documentation
- Able to manage transactions and work effectively with senior stakeholders
- Collaborative, commercially minded and comfortable working at pace
- Available at short notice or immediately
