Client: A leading insurance firm are looking for an 8+PQE* insurance generalist lawyer to lead their legal team.

There is a compelling progression opportunity for the right candidate as the role and team continue to evolve.

Key Responsibilities You will be responsible for the following: Lead lawyer for the London business with oversight of compliance and cosec advising the senior management team on a range of legal matters Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including partnership agreements, supplier agreements, vendor contracts, and customer terms and conditions.

Assisting with insurance law, privacy, employment and other matters as they arise Leading on various legal tech/AI initiatives across the firm Provide assistance with maintaining the legal precedent bank; and assist with providing training to the business on new and ongoing legal and compliance issues Provide support to the business on the onboarding of new clients Working in multidisciplinary teams across various departments, including product development, marketing, and human resources, ensuring that all business activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be an 8+ PQE* Commercial lawyer, preferably with experience in a law firm, or insurance firm.

Experience working inhouse in the insurance sector is a prerequisite Excellent contract negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

Proactive, detail oriented, and able to thrive in a fast paced, innovative environment.

Strong problem solving abilities and a collaborative mindset. *Candidates outside this PQE range with the prerequisite experience would be considered for this role.
