We’re working with a global, data‑driven technology business to appoint a Legal Counsel to join a dynamic in‑house legal team. This role offers broad exposure across commercial, technology and corporate matters, working closely with senior stakeholders in a fast‑moving international environment.
As Legal Counsel, you’ll act as a trusted business partner, supporting commercial growth while managing and mitigating legal risk across multiple jurisdictions. You’ll advise across the business, with a particular focus on sales, licensing and technology‑led initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on a wide range of commercial and strategic business matters
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts including SaaS, licensing, MSAs, NDAs and SOWs
- Supporting sales, contracts and licensing teams with solution‑focused legal advice
- Managing and negotiating supplier and third‑party agreements
- Supporting strategic projects such as technology partnerships, data acquisition and new product development
- Advising on data protection, IP, compliance and regulatory matters
- Assisting with governance and company secretarial matters across a group structure
About You
You’ll be a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys working closely with the business and influencing senior stakeholders. We’re keen to hear from candidates who have:
- Qualification as a solicitor in England & Wales
- Around 2-5 years’ PQE, including in‑house experience
- Training at a well‑regarded UK law firm
- Strong experience advising on SaaS and technology‑led commercial contracts
- Exposure to internationally operating businesses
- Experience within a SaaS, data, technology or similar environment (highly desirable)
- A practical, solutions‑driven mindset with strong commercial awareness
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
