Job Description
A top-tier US firm is quietly expanding its London-based Restructuring team, looking to bring on a junior associate (0–2 PQE) to join a high-performing, partner-led team.
The group sits within the broader finance practice and is known for its low-volume, high-quality approach on strategic and bespoke restructuring and leveraged finance work; including distressed M&A, almost balanced creditor & debtor-side restructurings, special situations, as well as European term Loan B, unitranche and bank/bond financings. You’ll gain exposure to multi-jurisdictional deals, work closely with US colleagues, and advise top-tier clients including hedge funds, sponsors, corporates, bondholders and insolvency practitioners. The firm offers a collegiate culture and hands-on mentorship, flexible working (three days in office), and Cravath-scale pay.
This role is ideal for someone who’s looking to pivot into a more strategic, investor-focused restructuring practice, with the following requirements:
- ideally traditionally trained UK Qualified Associate (or expected to qualify soon) or common law qualified
- at least 6 months of financial restructuring experience from a leading UK or US firm
- experience in creditor-side mandates and financial restructuring with acquisition finance preferred
