Taylor Root is working with a global leader in the logistics space. They’re looking to hire an Interim Legal Counsel on a Fixed Term Contract basis of 6 months from January. This client requires 5 days per week in their office in Southwest London or Suffolk. The role reports into the General Counsel for Europe and sits within a lean legal team.
The role will involve working on matters that are UK based but also matters that are pivotal to business operations in countries like Spain, Sweden, and the Netherlands. The work is high-quality, varied, and cross-functional. You will be handling a mixture of corporate and commercial matters including, but not limited to:
- Working on a range of commercial agreements that are critical to the business.
- Providing legal protection and risk management advice.
- Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures as well as providing recommendations for continued improvement.
- Providing advice on corporate projects, with infrastructure elements, as well as joint ventures and investments.
- Handling matters relating to data privacy, employment, and litigation.
Profile required:
- Qualified lawyer with at least 4 years’ PQE.
- Mixture of experience, ideally with a prominent national law firm and in-house exposure.
- Experience handling corporate and commercial legal matters.
- Strong ability to build rapport with internal stakeholders.
- Someone with high integrity, professionalism, and collegiality.
