A leading global financial services organisation is seeking a Legal Counsel on a 6-month contract to join its high‑performing legal team and provide commercial legal support across the international business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic legal advice on a broad range of commercial matters across the global organisation
- Reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, including service agreements, vendor contracts, IT agreements and lease arrangements
- Handling a wide variety of technology‑related agreements, such as software licences, SaaS contracts, support and maintenance agreements, data and AI‑related agreements, and third‑party service arrangements
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to develop, refine and implement policies and procedures relating to data licensing, data processing and emerging technologies
- Delivering ad‑hoc legal support on wider commercial issues as required
- Staying up to date with developments in technology, artificial intelligence and data protection law
You will have a minimum of 3 years’ PQE (Commonwealth or equivalent) with strong experience in commercial contracts, particularly those involving suppliers, IT, data, AI and third‑party services. You will be a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders.
