This global insurance firm is looking for a CGI qualified Head of Governance & Company Secretary to join its London team. This position is critical in maintaining a strong governance framework at the organisation, including in the promotion of best practices, and ensuring seamless collaboration between the Board, subsidiary entities, management committees, and key stakeholders.
Some roles and responsibilities will include:
- Manage the end-to-end coordination of Board meetings at both the Group and subsidiary entity levels, ensuring effective planning, agenda setting, and timely distribution of materials.
- Keep the Board informed on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) developments, stakeholder engagement strategies, and best practices in CSR reporting.
- Lead corporate secretarial responsibilities for subsidiary boards, ensuring their governance frameworks align with Group policies and regulatory requirements.
- Act as a key liaison between the Board, subsidiary entities, management committees, and key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and governance alignment across the Group.
- Facilitate an annual review of the committee structure and terms of reference, ensuring they remain fit for purpose and aligned with the evolving governance needs of the organization.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- 10+ years' experience in a company secretarial role
- CGI qualification, either ACG or FCG
- Solid experience within the (re)insurance market
This role requires the individual to be in office 4 days per week.
