The Client: A leading global insurance firm are looking for a 3+ PQE commercial lawyer to join their legal team. Working autonomously, you will be responsible for a range of legal matters across the business. This role could be fully remote in the UK, only requiring office attendance a couple of times during the year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, vendor contracts, and customer terms and conditions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of insurance specific contracts, including introducer and distribution agreements.
- Assisting with privacy, employment and other matters as they arise.
- Provide assistance with maintaining the legal precedent bank; and assist with providing training to the business on new and ongoing legal and compliance issues.
- Provide support to the business on the onboarding of new clients.
- Working in multidisciplinary teams across various departments, including product development, marketing, and human resources, ensuring that all business activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will be a 3+ PQE Commercial lawyer, preferably with experience in a law firm, financial services or insurance firm.
- Experience in the insurance will be a plus but not a strict requirement.
- Excellent contract negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proactive, detail oriented, and able to thrive in a fast paced, innovative environment.
- Strong problem solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
*Candidates outside this PQE range with the prerequisite experience would be considered for this role.
