A well-established London law firm is seeking a 3–6 PQE Associate to join its Financial Services Regulatory practice, focusing on non-contentious advisory work. The firm offers a genuinely collaborative, entrepreneurial environment, combining high-quality work with a supportive and inclusive culture.
The Financial Services team advises across the entire life cycle of regulated firms, from start-up and authorisation through growth, product development and, where required, regulatory scrutiny and investigations. The practice acts for a varied and high-profile client base across the financial services and fintech landscape, including banks, insurers, payment and e‑money firms, investment businesses, consumer credit providers, and technology-led platforms.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior regulatory partners on a broad range of advisory matters, including:
- FCA and PRA regulatory authorisations and variations
- Ongoing compliance and regulatory change
- Product design and governance
- Financial services regulation under FSMA and the RAO
This role offers exposure to sophisticated regulatory issues, high-profile clients, and direct partner access in a team that actively supports career development.
Applicants should:
- Be 3–6 years’ PQE, gained in private practice or in-house
- Have experience advising financial institutions or fintech businesses
- Possess a strong working knowledge of the FCA/PRA Handbook, FSMA and the Regulated Activities Order
