Taylor Root is partnering with a global private markets investment platform to hire a Legal Counsel to support the growth of its private credit and broader private markets business, with a strong and growing focus on sustainable and responsible investment strategies. This role sits close to the investment and product teams and focuses on the design, structuring and launch of private markets funds, alongside ongoing investor negotiations and regulatory support.
What you’ll be doing:
- Structuring and launching private markets fund vehicles (GP/LP funds, SPVs, co‑investments, feeders, securitisations)
- Drafting and negotiating LPAs, PPMs, side letters and subscription documents
- Leading institutional investor negotiations and MFN processes
- Advising on cross‑border fund structures across the UK, Luxembourg, Guernsey, South Africa, the US and Cayman
- Supporting private credit deals, fund finance and secondary transactions
- Acting as a legal and regulatory adviser on private markets fundraising and marketing regimes
- Managing and coordinating external counsel internationally
Ideally you will have:
- 3+ years’ PQE with strong private funds / alternatives experience
- Background in asset management, private credit, infrastructure or structured finance
- Experience running fund documentation and investor negotiations
- Strong commercial judgment and ability to work closely with non‑legal teams
