Global organisation seeking EMEA Employment Counsel, fluent in German, to join in-house legal team in London.

You will be part of a global team responsible for providing wide-ranging employment support across UK and EMEA with a focus on the organisation's German business working with the senior leadership team, HR and the COO and regional leaders. This is a unique opportunity to join a supportive and dynamic team, with an interesting and broad spread of contentious and non-contentious EMEA employment work on offer.

About the Role

Provide legal support across the organisation's large and varied workforce including:

  • Contractual agreements
  • TUPE
  • Corporate transactions
  • Restructures
  • Disputes
  • Grievances
  • Disciplinary matters
  • Internal policies and procedures
  • Compensation and benefits
  • Whistleblowing
  • DEI initiatives
  • Restrictive covenants
  • Terminations

This would include internal investigations and managing external counsel where necessary. In addition to supporting on these areas, the role will be to proactively identify and manage legal risk and to liaise with senior stakeholders.

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' PQE in employment law across Germany, UK and EMEA
  • German or UK qualified lawyer
  • Proven experience as an employment lawyer in advisory, corporate support and contentious matters
  • Preferably from a top tier City law firm
  • In-house experience is highly desirable
  • The ideal candidate will be versatile, efficient, proactive with strong drafting skills, mature, discreet and an excellent communicator with ability to manage and prioritise and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in German and English
