An infrastructure services organisation is looking for a Data Protection Manager to support the Chief Privacy Officer (CPO) in delivering a robust data protection compliance programme. This position is ideal for someone passionate about privacy, compliance, and embedding a strong culture of data protection across a diverse organisation.

What You’ll Do

  • Compliance Oversight: Assist in monitoring data protection practices and escalate risks or incidents to the CPO.
  • DSAR & DPIA Management: Handle Data Subject Access Requests and conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments in line with established procedures.
  • ROPA Maintenance: Maintain accurate Records of Processing Activities.
  • Contract Reviews: Support reviews of data protection clauses in contracts and data sharing agreements.
  • Incident Management: Coordinate breach investigations and ensure timely resolution.
  • Training & Awareness: Deliver privacy training sessions and contribute to awareness campaigns.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Collate metrics for senior stakeholders and track audit actions.
  • Team Support: Ensure consistency in handling privacy queries.

  • Timely and compliant responses to DSARs and other data rights requests.
  • Effective delivery of privacy training across departments.

  • Strong knowledge of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, and related guidance.
  • Experience supporting compliance in a complex or multi-entity environment.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational and prioritisation abilities.
