Our financial services client are looking for an experienced Data Protection Manager to join a small and dynamic legal team within a successful financial services organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the design and continual improvement of the data protection strategy and programme.
  • Provide expert advice on data protection topics including DPIAs, data breach management, and third-party risk.
  • Maintain records of processing activities and ensure compliance with EMEA data protection legislation.
  • Deliver engaging training and awareness programmes across the business.
  • Support audits, monitoring, and reporting on data protection maturity and KPIs.

Experience:

  • Experience of devising and implementing data protection strategies and operating models.
  • Strong knowledge of UK/EU and Middle East data protection laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Recognised data protection qualification (e.g., BCS, CIPP/E, CIPM).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Experience with tools like OneTrust and familiarity with FinTech environments is a plus.

Location: London (Hybrid - 3 days in office)
