Compliance Analyst - 12m FTC
London | Hybrid Working (2 days in office) | International Law Firm
A leading international law firm is seeking an AML Risk & Compliance Analyst to join its established Risk & Compliance team in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance professional with AML and client due diligence experience gained within a law firm or professional services environment who is looking to further develop their career in a highly regarded and collaborative team.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting client due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) on both corporate and individual clients
- Performing PEP, sanctions and adverse media screening
- Researching complex ownership and corporate structures
- Assessing AML and financial crime risks associated with new and existing clients
- Preparing AML reports and recommendations for approval
- Maintaining accurate compliance records and databases
- Assisting with ongoing monitoring and periodic reviews
- Supporting regulatory audits and compliance projects
- Working closely with partners and stakeholders to facilitate efficient client onboarding
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous AML, CDD or financial crime experience, ideally within a law firm
- Strong understanding of UK AML regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience conducting sanctions, PEP and adverse media screening
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Confident communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
- A proactive approach and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
