The Client: A leading global insurance firm are looking for a 3+ PQE commercial lawyer to join their legal team. Working autonomously, you will be responsible for a range of legal matters across the business. They have an excellent hybrid policy in place, only requiring office attendance once a fortnight or once a month. They would also be open to candidates looking for part time work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working as part of a small team of lawyers, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, vendor contracts, and customer terms and conditions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of insurance specific contracts, including introducer and distribution agreements.
  • Assisting with privacy, employment and other matters as they arise.
  • Provide assistance with maintaining the legal precedent bank; and assist with providing training to the business on new and ongoing legal and compliance issues.
  • Provide support to the business on the onboarding of new clients.
  • Working in multidisciplinary teams across various departments, including product development, marketing, and human resources, ensuring that all business activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will be a 3+ PQE Commercial lawyer, preferably with experience in a law firm, financial services or insurance firm.
  • Experience in the insurance will be a plus but not a strict requirement.
  • Excellent contract negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proactive, detail oriented, and able to thrive in a fast paced, innovative environment.
  • Strong problem solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.

*Candidates outside this PQE range with the prerequisite experience would be considered for this role.
