A highly regarded international law firm is seeking a Commercial IP Associateto join its growing London team. This is a role with a broad scope, offering direct partner access, excellent progression prospects, and a diverse client base across fintech, luxury brands, social media, and healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing UK and EU trademark clearance, prosecution, and enforcement, including inbound and outbound infringements, brand protection, and contested proceedings before Trademark Offices.
- Advising on IP aspects of corporate transactions, including due diligence, licensing, and negotiating purchase agreements.
- Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, including license, sponsorship, talent, and services agreements.
- Handling data privacy matters, including GDPR compliance, cross-border data transfers, privacy policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Staying updated on social media regulations and ICO guidance.
- Contributing to business development, training, and client networking initiatives.
Key Requirements:
- England & Wales qualified solicitor ideally with 2 – 3 years PQE.
- Strong IP experience from a leading UK, international or City firm.
- Strong client management, drafting, and analytical skills.
- Proactive team player, keen to take on responsibility and support junior colleagues.
Hybrid Working: 3 days in-office
Target Hours: 1650 total (1500 chargeable, 150 probono / training / BD etc)
