A leading international law firm is looking to appoint a Structured Project Finance Associate to join its London Projects team. This role offers exposure to complex, high‑value transactions across the energy and infrastructure sectors, providing an excellent platform for developing specialist expertise in a growing and strategically important area.
The Team:
The firm’s Projects practice advises on the financing, development and acquisition of major infrastructure and energy assets in the UK and internationally. The structured finance team works as part of a broader, integrated group, frequently collaborating with colleagues across jurisdictions to deliver cross‑border mandates. The team acts for a wide range of clients, including banks, sponsors, developers, funds and institutional investors, and is particularly active in sectors such as renewable energy, transport, utilities and digital infrastructure. It is recognised for its technical strength and its ability to deliver commercially focused solutions on complex transactions.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be involved in supporting project finance transactions from early stage structuring through to financial close and post‑completion matters. Work will include:
- Advising on project financings, refinancings and acquisition financings
- Supporting transactions across energy and infrastructure sectors, including renewables and low‑carbon projects
- Assisting with ongoing asset‑level and operational matters
- Working on cross‑border transactions involving multiple stakeholders

Key Responsibilities:
The Associate will:
- Support the structuring and execution of project finance transactions
- Assist with transactions from initial term sheets through to financial close
- Draft, review and negotiate finance and project documentation

- Assist on related corporate and asset‑level matters within the projects space
- Collaborate with colleagues across offices on international mandates
- Contribute to business development and client relationship management
About the Candidate:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Qualification as a lawyer with up to 4 years’ post‑qualification experience
- Experience in banking, project finance or structured finance transactions
- Strong drafting ability and attention to detail
- Commercial awareness and an interest in the energy and infrastructure sectors
- The ability to manage competing deadlines and multiple workstreams
- A collaborative approach and strong interpersonal skills
