We are supporting an established, global re/insurance organisation who is seeking a Senior Compliance Assurance Officer to join their Group Compliance function on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, supporting the delivery of a robust, risk-based compliance assurance framework across the business. The Senior Compliance Assurance Officer will play a key role in assessing and strengthening the effectiveness of the compliance programme, working closely with stakeholders across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering compliance assurance reviews in line with the annual monitoring plan
- Assessing adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies, and controls
- Managing and overseeing the firm’s mandatory compliance training programme
- Maintaining key compliance documentation, including policies and codes of conduct
- Producing management information and reporting for senior leadership and committees
- Supporting senior compliance leadership with ongoing advisory and assurance activities
The ideal candidate will have:
- Prior experience in compliance monitoring, assurance, or audit within the insurance or reinsurance sector
- Strong understanding of relevant UK regulatory frameworks and core compliance concepts
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate insights
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail
- Confident working in a global, matrix environment and managing competing priorities
