The Client: A leading global financial services firm is looking for a 10+ PQE employment lawyer to lead on employment matters at group level. The role partners closely with executive leadership, HR, Risk, Compliance and business leaders to manage legal risk, support business transformation, and ensure compliance with employment legislation across multiple jurisdictions. Reporting directly to the Group General Counsel, you will take on a broad in-house employment role covering a full suite of contentious and non-contentious matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction on complex and high profile employment matters, including workforce restructuring, executive employment issues, employee relations, investigations, litigation, regulatory developments, M&A transactions and organisational transformation initiatives.
- Lead and manage significant employment litigation, tribunal claims and regulatory investigations.
- Be the point person for the executive team in relation to employment matters.
Qualifications:
- 10+ PQE employment lawyer, preferably with experience in a law firm or in-house.
- Extensive experience advising on complex employment matters across multiple jurisdictions.
- Proven track record of managing high-profile employment litigation and investigations.
- Experience supporting corporate transactions, restructurings and transformation programmes.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and stakeholders at Board level.
*Candidates outside of this PQE range with the prerequisite experience would be considered for this role.
