A leading insurer is looking for a talented corporate lawyer to join its in-house Legal team on a 9-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of a permanent role. This role is perfect for someone eager to take on broad, hands-on work across multi-jurisdictional and strategic initiatives. You’ll partner closely with stakeholders at every level, delivering high-quality legal support in a fast-moving, innovative environment.

The role will involve:

  • Drafting and negotiating complex legal documentation across the full transaction lifecycle, from early structuring through to completion.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with finance, compliance, operations and other teams to ensure seamless legal support.
  • Supporting project management and governance processes, helping track progress and escalating issues when needed.
  • Managing external counsel to ensure advice is commercial, timely and cost-effective.
  • Contributing to legal knowledge management and continuous improvement within the team.

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years’ PQE as a transactional lawyer and be qualified in England & Wales (or Commonwealth equivalent). Insurance or FS experience is a bonus but not a requirement. You must have experience handling complex, cross-border transactions in private practice or in-house. Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, paired with strong commercial judgment and a proactive, flexible mindset suited to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
