A leading international law firm is seeking a talented Construction Associate with 3 to 5 years post qualification experience to join its well regarded Real Estate & Construction practice. The team is known for its high quality work, collaborative culture and long standing reputation advising a diverse and often high profile client base across commercial, residential, rural and property related sectors.
The construction team forms part of a wider integrated real estate offering and works closely with colleagues across corporate, finance, tax, private client and international offices. The practice supports entrepreneurs, family offices, property companies, lenders, funds, luxury brands, hospitality and retail operators, as well as major charities and non profit organisations. Matters are often sophisticated, high value and international in scope.
The role focuses predominantly on non-contentious construction work. You will work on a varied mix of development and construction advisory matters, combining autonomous responsibility with collaborative project work across the wider real estate group. The firm’s clients expect technical excellence paired with commercial judgement, offering the opportunity to develop both skillsets.
Responsibilities:- Drafting bespoke construction documentation and tailoring amendments to industry standard forms
- Advising on construction aspects of development finance arrangements and agreements for lease
- Supporting clients on procurement, tendering and public sector processes
- Providing commercially focused guidance aligned with current market practice
- Working closely with colleagues across practice areas and jurisdictions
You will need at least 3 years PQE to apply for this role however those approaching this level this year are also encouraged to apply. Candidates who have a mixture of non-contentious / contentious experience will be considered, as long as you are happy to specialise.
