Our client, a leading Top UK City law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Senior Associate on a -month fixed-term contract basis starting in January 6. This is a unique opportunity to join a highly regarded disputes team handling complex, high-value litigation in the English Commercial Courts.
About the Role
You will play a key role in managing major, multi-party litigation involving high-value commercial disputes. The work is challenging, fast-paced, and intellectually stimulating, requiring a solicitor who can take ownership and lead on critical aspects of the case. This role offers exposure to complex, high-profile disputes that have attracted significant attention in the commercial litigation space. You will work closely with leading barristers and a highly experienced team.
The role:
- Acting as a senior point of contact within the litigation team.
- Managing procedural deadlines and ensuring compliance with court requirements.
- Drafting pleadings, correspondence, and strategic case documents.
- Giving instructions to counsel and liaising with experts.
- Overseeing disclosure obligations and evidence preparation.
- Attending case management conferences and trials.
- Collaborating with partners and senior consultants on strategy and execution.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with + years PQE.
- Strong academic background.
- Significant experience in commercial litigation within the English Commercial Courts.
- Ability to manage complex and fluid disputes, taking full responsibility for cases.
- Technical expertise in:
- Drafting pleadings and correspondence.
- Managing disclosure obligations.
- Instructing counsel.
- Handling expert and factual evidence.
- Attending case management conferences and trials.
This is a full-time role that is on a hybrid basis 3 days a week in the office, and 2 from home.
