Our client, a well-established UK law firm with a growing national platform, is looking to hire a Restructuring lawyer to join its London team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious lawyer to work with a newly joined Partner as they continue to develop their practice.

The role involves working closely with senior lawyers on a broad range of complex, fast-moving restructuring and special situations mandates. The practice advises a wide spectrum of stakeholders, including corporates, lenders, investors and sponsors, and offers a high level of responsibility from an early stage.

Key areas of work include:

  • Debt restructurings and lender negotiations
  • Liquidity and working capital solutions
  • Liability management exercises
  • Covenant and security analysis
  • Alternative funding arrangements (e.g. asset-based lending, mezzanine and PIK debt)
  • Distressed and opportunistic investments, acquisitions and secondary debt trading

The role provides exposure to both transactional and advisory matters, working alongside colleagues across corporate, finance and related disciplines.

Candidate profile:

Our client is keen to speak to candidates who:

  • Are a qualified solicitor with between 2–6 years’ PQE
  • Have experience in restructuring, insolvency, banking & finance or a related transactional practice
  • Have worked on distressed or stressed situations, or are keen to develop this expertise
  • Are commercially minded and confident working directly with clients
