The Client: A leading insurance firm are looking for a 10+PQE insurance generalist lawyer to join their legal team. Working autonomously as part of a lean team, you will be responsible for a range of legal matters across the business. There is a compelling progression opportunity for the right candidate as the role and team continue to evolve.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including partnership agreements, supplier agreements, vendor contracts, and customer terms and conditions.
- Assisting with insurance law, privacy, employment and other matters as they arise.
- Leading on various legal tech/AI initiatives across the firm.
- Provide assistance with maintaining the legal precedent bank; and assist with providing training to the business on new and ongoing legal and compliance issues.
- Provide support to the business on the onboarding of new clients.
- Working in multidisciplinary teams across various departments, including product development, marketing, and human resources, ensuring that all business activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will be a 10+ PQE Commercial lawyer, preferably with experience in a law firm, or insurance firm.
- Experience working inhouse in the insurance sector is a prerequisite.
- Excellent contract negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proactive, detail oriented, and able to thrive in a fast paced, innovative environment.
- Strong problem solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
- Candidates outside this PQE range with the prerequisite experience would be considered for this role.
