The Client

An innovative insurance firm on an impressive growth trajectory are looking for an 8-15 PQE corporate lawyer to join their legal team.

You will be responsible for a range of legal matters across the business including advising at the board level.

Working autonomously, you will advise on a wide spectrum of corporate and commercial matters that are critical to the business's strategic objectives.

As the company enters its next phase of expansion, this role offers the chance to be part of a transformative period, providing exposure to high profile projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide corporate and commercial law advisory support on a wide range of matters to the Company and all internal stakeholders including at senior/Board level.
  • Provide support on strategic corporate matters, including potential M&A activity, governance, shareholder matters and ongoing corporate legal support
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including partnership agreements, supplier agreements, tech, outsourcing vendor contracts, and customer terms and conditions.
  • Advising on potential corporate insurance matters (not a prerequisite)
  • Provide general advice on ad-hoc legal matters as they arise

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will be an 8-15 PQE Corporate lawyer, preferably with experience from a leading law firm, technology, media or financial services/regulated environment.
  • Applications from candidates from a private equity background would be welcome
  • Excellent contract negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proactive, detail oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.

*Candidates outside of this PQE range with the prerequisite experience would be considered for this role.
