Leading professional services organisation seeks Senior Legal Counsel – Commercial Technology to join their highly skilled in-house legal team. The role can be based in London or across the regions within commuting distance to London.
This is a newly created position to join a supportive and dynamic team, in a strategic role to be the commercial technology lead on a range of commercial deals and support more junior members in the team of commercial lawyers.
Responsibilities- Act as the commercial technology lead on a range of commercial deals and provide guidance to junior members of the team.
- Negotiate and draft IT system implementation agreements, outsourcing/managed services agreements, client contracts (engagement agreements, MSAs, framework agreements).
- Handle cross-functional technology work including digital transformation, licensing, cloud and managed services, outsourcing, government and public sector agreements, tenders, RFP responses and supplier agreements.
- Over 5 years PQE with proven experience as a commercial technology lawyer, from a top-tier City law firm and/or in-house.
- Experience working with technology and/or professional services businesses is ideal.
- Self-starter with gravitas, business acumen and a calm, proactive attitude. Able to prioritise and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative team player who is versatile, efficient and credible, with strong ability to influence and manage multiple priorities.
