A leading international law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Restructuring & Insolvency team in London. This is a high‑profile role within a growing practice, offering exposure to a balanced mix of advisory, transactional and contentious insolvency work.
The Team
The team advises a broad range of stakeholders including lenders, corporates, directors, investors, insolvency practitioners and office‑holders on complex domestic and cross‑border restructuring and insolvency matters. It is known for handling technically challenging and strategically sensitive situations, often working closely with finance, corporate, real estate and disputes colleagues.
The Role
The successful candidate will be involved in matters such as:
- Advising on restructurings, workouts and distressed situations
- Formal insolvency processes including administrations, liquidations and restructuring plans
- Distressed M&A and insolvency‑related transactions
- Contentious insolvency matters, including claims involving directors, creditors and office‑holders
- Drafting and negotiating restructuring and insolvency documentation, court applications and sale agreements
Senior associates are given meaningful responsibility, direct client exposure and the opportunity to take a lead role on matters, while supporting partners on complex mandates.
Candidates should:
- Have 4+ years’ PQE (ideally 5‑7 PQE) in restructuring and insolvency
- Demonstrate strong technical skills, commercial judgment and confidence managing matters
- Be motivated to develop their practice and contribute to the growth of the team
