Our client is a leading aircraft leasing company managing a growing portfolio of aircraft leased to numerous commercial airlines operating across multiple jurisdictions. They are seeking a talented legal counsel to join their dynamic team. In this broad role, you will provide comprehensive legal support as a pivotal part of their legal team, across a range of matters related to aircraft leasing and management, in addition to ensuring compliance with their legal, governance, and regulatory obligations.
About the Role:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents including aircraft lease agreements, financing agreements, purchase and sale agreements, novation and other related documentation.
- Ensure all contractual documentation aligns with the organisation's commercial objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Plan transaction strategy, roadmap and milestones and take ownership of timely transaction progression.
- Advise on a variety of issues, including contract interpretation, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
Who You Are:
- A legal professional with 2+ years' experience in aircraft leasing/financing, or a related field, preferably gained in a leading international law firm or in-house with a lessor.
- Experience of managing complex transactions and providing strategic legal advice in the aviation sector, as well as in cross-border transactions and a strong understanding of international legal principles related to aircraft leasing and financing.
- Strong organisational and management skills with a proven ability to manage complex issues and to mitigate legal risks.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical and influencing skills.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive "get things done" attitude.
