About the Role
My client are seeking a highly organised and detail‑focused IP Paralegal & Legal Administrator to join a EMEA Legal & Intellectual Property team. This department provides high‑quality Legal and IP support across commercial, medical, research, regulatory and administrative functions within the EMEA region and globally. Their mission is to ensure compliant operations and strong protection of intellectual property for current and future brands.
In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to the full department, with a particular focus on managing patent and trademark formalities. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled IP paralegal to contribute to impactful work in a fast‑paced international environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain professional memberships and subscriptions for department members.
- Support financial administration activities.
- Manage the signing, legalisation and coordination of key legal documents.
- Collaborate with internal legal teams, external legal/patent counsel and service providers.
- Oversee administrative processes relating to patents and trademarks, including:
- Filing and maintaining records
- Docketing
- Grant procedures
- Annuity procedures
Qualifications & Skills
- Ideally CIPA‑qualified Patent Paralegal/Administrator with minimum 3 years’ experience in patent formalities.
- Highly detail‑oriented with a strong focus on quality.
- Team‑oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable working with international colleagues across multiple regions.
- Knowledge of the commercial role of IP within the pharmaceutical industry, or a strong willingness to learn.
This role would suit someone who is experienced in patent formalities but wants to do or learn more.
