A high-growth, internationally expanding fintech is looking to hire a Legal Counsel (2+ PQE) to join its dynamic and down-to-earth legal team in London. This is a newly created role driven by significant global expansion, particularly across Europe, with major investment in technology, product innovation, and new platform development.
You’ll join a close-knit, high-performing legal team (reporting directly to a highly regarded Director of Legal) where you’ll play a key role in supporting international growth and shaping legal strategy across jurisdictions. This is a business-facing role with real visibility, ideal for a commercially minded lawyer who wants to be embedded in a fast-scaling, innovative environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts (customer, supplier and partnership agreements)
- Advise on product development and new business initiatives
- Support international expansion, including multi-jurisdictional matters and regulatory frameworks
- Provide input on marketing materials, branding and digital content
- Oversee IP protection, policies and governance frameworks (incl. data protection)
- Support regulatory and risk matters, including financial crime and compliance
- Manage external counsel globally
- Contribute to strategic projects and business growth initiatives
- Genuine growth role in a scaling international business
