Taylor Root have partnered with a leading UK law firm who are looking to add headcount into their Financial Services and Funds team. This role is being offered on an initial 12 month fixed term contract with view to extend. It will be based in the firm’s London office.

Considered to be one of the oldest law firms in London, our client has a long-standing reputation for serving high-net worth individuals, landed gentry, and charitable institutions. With this firm, you can expect a rich history and tradition, with a growing touch of modernity. They are ranked in Tier 1, 2 & 3 (Legal 500) for almost all of their practice areas.
The Team
The firm’s Financial Services and Funds team covers the structuring, establishment, and documentation for investment funds, addressing the regulatory issues affecting both the funds and their managers. They operate in the private funds space, acting for small and medium fund managers on a range of funds including private equity, venture capital, property, and debt funds.
The Role
You will provide paralegal support to fee-earners within the team primarily in relation to FCA authorised fund documents. This will include:
- Support fee-earners with updates and reviews of fund prospectuses, coordinating with fee-earners and clients as needed.
- Provide general administrative assistance and additional support to team members as required.
- Conduct legal research using various online and reference sources.
- Draft, proofread legal documents, and prepare written reports as needed.
- Participate in client meetings or calls alongside fee-earners and prepare attendance notes as requested.
The Ideal Candidate
You will ideally have previous funds experience; however, those coming from a transactional background will also be considered. This experience will have been gained at another top private practice law firm.
