Leading professional services organisation seeks Director of Commercial Contracts to join their highly skilled in-house legal team in London.
This is a newly created position to join a supportive and dynamic team, in a strategic role to be the commercial legal lead and manage a team of commercial lawyers across service lines. It will be to engage at Partner level in order to influence the firm’s commercial strategy and approach to contracting on both the client and supplier side, in addition to substantive legal advisory work.
Offering interesting and broad spread of project work (software development, systems integration, business transformation) and client contracts (engagement agreements, MSAs, GFAs), including tech, software, licensing, outsourcing, government and public sector agreements, tenders, RFP responses, and supplier agreements.
You will have over 15 years’ PQE and proven experience as a commercial lawyer, with good knowledge of IP law, from a top tier City law firm and/or in-house. In addition you will have demonstrable experience managing and/or leading a team of commercial lawyers.
This will suit a self-starter with gravitas, business acumen and who can improve processes across the business. A calm and proactive attitude is important in this collaborative team, so the ideal candidate will be versatile, efficient, credible, persuasive, with the ability to prioritise and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
