Taylor Root is working on behalf of a leading international law firm to recruit a Corporate Associate / Senior Associate (3-6 PQE) into its highly regarded London corporate team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist practice with a strong private equity focus, advising a high-quality client base of mid-market and upper mid-market financial sponsors, portfolio companies, management teams and strategic corporates.
The team is active across a broad range of sectors, including TMT, Consumer & Retail, Financial Services and Industrials, and is recognised for advising on private equity buyouts, growth investments, buy-and-build strategies, bolt-on acquisitions and exits.
In addition to the role offers significant exposure to a wide range of M&A and general corporate transactions.
Working closely with highly regarded partners and a collaborative team of associates, you will play a key role on complex, often cross-border transactions, benefiting from early responsibility, direct client contact and the opportunity to take ownership of transaction workstreams.
The team has built a strong reputation for delivering commercially focused, pragmatic advice on sophisticated deals, many of which have an international element.
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor with 3-6 years’ PQE.
- Ideally UK qualified, or currently practising within the UK market.
- Strong experience advising on private equity-backed transactions and acquisitions.
- Excellent technical, drafting and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to manage transaction workstreams and supervise junior lawyers.
- A proactive approach to business development and building client relationships.
- Strong commercial judgement and a collaborative mindset.
