What does the role involve?
- Providing timely, high‑quality legal advice across a broad range of regeneration matters, with awareness of planning, environmental, procurement and public law considerations
- Taking increasing responsibility for managing your own caseload
- Supporting senior members of the team on complex and high‑value transactions
- Contributing to marketing and business development activities, including tender and proposal writing, networking and attending conferences
- Achieving agreed annual targets for billable hours and fees
- Opportunities to undertake short‑term client secondments
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, delivering work to a consistently high standard and earning client trust
- Maintaining personal development through training, keeping up to date with legal developments and relevant government policy
- Undertaking legal research as required and on your own initiative
- Carrying out other duties appropriate to the level of the role
What technical skills are required?
- Excellent drafting skills, with the ability to provide clear, concise and commercially focused advice on complex issues
- Strong IT skills, including confidence using electronic time recording and case management systems
- Experience in regeneration projects is advantageous, though candidates with a strong interest in the area and transferable experience (such as property development, housing or local authority property work) are also encouraged to apply
