A leading global law firm in Birmingham is seeking an adaptable, commercially minded Senior / Principal Associate to join its highly regarded Projects & Infrastructure team. Operating across Birmingham, London and Dubai, the team is recognised in major legal directories and industry awards for its exceptional work. With diverse expertise spanning procurement, commercial contracts, project finance, construction, defence, nuclear and energy, the team is known for its collaborative, flexible and multidisciplinary approach. You’ll work closely with specialists across the firm, offering exposure to varied, complex work and opportunities for both domestic and international engagement.
What You’ll Work On
You will advise on a wide range of UK domestic energy, infrastructure and defence projects. The team supports government bodies, sponsors and developers across the full project lifecycle from procurement through project contracts, construction and operational phases.
About You
The team is looking for a qualified Solicitor with 4+ years PQE, ideally with experience in:
- Key project agreements: PPP/PFI, PPAs, EPC contracts, O&M agreements
- Public procurement (PCR) – desirable but not essential
- Negotiating in single-source procurement environments (SSCR) – desirable
- Experience within government, nuclear, defence or energy sectors (including in-house roles)
- Strong project management capability
- A proactive approach to business development
