Clinical Negligence – Health Advisory & Litigation
We are hiring! Our client’s Clinical Negligence team is expanding, and we are looking for an Associate (1+ PQE) to join on a permanent basis. This role can be based out of any of our client’s regional offices.
About the Role
You will be a solicitor handling defendant clinical negligence claims on behalf of a range of healthcare clients. The work will include managing complex and high-value matters, with opportunities to get involved in healthcare inquests and advisory work.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional client service, including proactive, strategic, and commercial management of claims.
- Manage your own caseload and support on high-value and complex claims in line with client requirements and SLAs.
- Delegate and supervise tasks for junior fee earners where appropriate.
- Provide responsive secondment support to key clients – remotely and on-site.
- Undertake legal research and advise on the implications of new statutes, regulations, directives, and case law.
- Participate in business development activities, including planning and delivering seminars and training programmes.
Person Specification
Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with IT systems (Microsoft Office) and ideally case management systems.
- Experience with online and library research tools.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to advise on complex technical aspects of process and procedure.
- Previous experience in defendant clinical negligence or catastrophic personal injury work.
- Inquest or healthcare advisory experience is an advantage.
