About the Role
Our client is seeking candidates with experience across a broad and varied range of banking transactions, including general banking, acquisition finance, real estate finance, project finance, and asset-based lending. As part of a national team, this position can be based in Birmingham, Nottingham, Manchester, or Reading. The successful candidate will have between 4-7 years’ post-qualification experience and be qualified to practice law in England and Wales (or equivalent).

Client-focused from the outset, the Banking & Finance team brings a sharp commercial edge to the full range of transactions they handle and is regarded as a trusted advisor for complex matters. Clients include UK-based financial institutions covering major clearing banks, challenger banks, and specialist lenders, as well as a wide range of businesses acting as borrowers both domestically and internationally. The team has one of the most active private equity and acquisition finance practices in the market, advising private equity houses, management teams, and debt funders across diverse debt structures. They also have an extensive real estate finance offering, working with lenders, housebuilders, and developers on acquisitions, investments, and developments across multiple sectors.

This role suits a solicitor, associate, or senior associate with prior experience in a banking team. Key skills and attributes include:
