We are working with an international education organisation who are looking for an Assistant Company Secretary to join their Legal team on an initial 6-month FTC (with the potential to become permanent). This role will be offered on a predominantly remote basis with the expectation to be in the office for a few days every quarter (or as and when the company requires). Reporting to the General Counsel who is based in Luxembourg, this role would suit someone looking for a role that is predominantly admin based and is happy working on a remote basis.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and monitoring offshore subsidiaries’ local governance administration.
- Overseeing the service providers by the outsourced company secretarial providers across the jurisdictions.
- Filing of legal and regulatory documents, including annual reports and financial statements, confirmation statements and other statutory filings with Companies House.
- Incorporation of new companies.
- Assisting with KYC matters; liaising and working closely with corporate services providers across jurisdictions.
- Working closely with insurance brokers to collate information across the group for annual insurance renewal.
Requirements:
- 4+ years’ experience working in a company secretarial team within a corporate services firm or within a corporate department of a law firm or in-house.
- Good working knowledge of company law.
- Attention to detail and a well-organised approach to work.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with people at all levels.
