Job Overview:

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Café Assistant to join our team full-time. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of service and cleanliness. Our café operates 6–7 days per week, so flexibility (including some weekends) is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome customers and take orders accurately
  • Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including coffee and tea
  • Assist with food preparation while following food safety standards
  • Maintain cleanliness of the café, equipment, and seating areas
  • Handle cash and card payments accurately
  • Restock supplies and support smooth daily operations

Requirements:

  • Previous café, barista, or hospitality experience preferred but not essential (training provided)
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable)
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions
  • Strong time management skills
  • Friendly, positive attitude and good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work early mornings and weekends
