We are looking for a Sales Support Coordinator to provide administrative support to the regional team, helping to manage customer and supplier orderbooks and ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
Working closely with customers, suppliers and logistics partners, you will help build strong working relationships while supporting the development of new and existing business in line with company objectives and targets.
This position is full time (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday) and permanent.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and efficiently to incoming customer sales enquiries via telephone and email.
- Work alongside sales team members to respond to general enquiries and provide information on pricing, product availability, order updates, sample requests and other requirements.
- Process customer and supplier purchase orders and coordinate material deliveries in line with customer and supplier requirements.
- Manage open orders to ensure deliveries are made in line with expected dates, updating information where required.
- Liaise with suppliers and logistics partners to manage delivery notifications with customers.
- Provide relevant reporting to the sales team and wider business where required.
- Attend customer and supplier visits on an ad-hoc basis.
- Ensure invoice queries and credit requests are processed promptly and in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist with the management of the relevant sales office calendar.
- Provide cover and support to other Sales Support Coordinators during planned and unplanned absences.
- Work with key supplier contacts to ensure orderbooks remain accurate and up to date.
- Coordinate hospitality, travel and accommodation requirements for regional events and functions.
- Provide front-of-house cover for internal and external office meetings.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and supplier databases.
- Carry out any other duties reasonably required by the management team to support the smooth running of the business.
- Demonstrable experience of sales and purchase order processing using ERP systems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Well-developed telephone and call-handling skills.
- Ability to take initiative when identifying and communicating opportunities for system and process improvements.
- Experience of developing and maintaining databases.
- Strong administration, organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure and make appropriate decisions.
