We're Taylor & Martin, a growing Glasgow-based property management company that prides itself on doing things differently. We believe great Property Managers are developed, not thrown in at the deep end. That's why we've built a structured 12–18 month Trainee Property Manager pathway, designed to turn motivated people into confident, capable Property Managers with their own portfolios.
If you're organised, personable, and keen to build a long-term career in property, this is a brilliant opportunity to learn the role properly — with real responsibility, real support, and clear progression.
The Role
As a Trainee Property Manager, your primary identity is exactly that — a future Property Manager. From day one, you'll work closely with experienced Property Managers, gradually learning how to manage residential developments while supporting the wider team. You'll gain hands-on experience across property management, maintenance, finance, and customer service, before progressing to managing your own portfolio. This role offers a mix of office-based work and regular site visits, giving you a genuine understanding of how properties are managed on the ground. Over time, you'll progress into a Property Manager role with full ownership of your own portfolio.
What You'll Do
- Support the day-to-day management of residential developments
- Answer homeowner calls and emails, handling simple queries with guidance
- Carry out site visits alongside Property Managers and prepare inspection reports
- Raise maintenance jobs and liaise with contractors
- Assist with setting up Direct Debits and taking payments (once trained)
- Help review invoices, statements, and basic financial documents
